 Corporate ConnectionsMilkWorks offers education and support to local businesses and their employees who are breastfeeding. The federal Affordable Health Care Act has a provision requiring employers with more than 50 employees to provide a private pumping space and appropriate breaks for breastfeeding mothers of children under one year old. Businesses are encouraged to make a donation to MilkWorks in exchange for our assistance. Community OutreachOur Breastfeeding Educators and Lactation Consultants are available for presentations to community groups, including high school classes, service groups and university classes. When possible, we encourage a donation in return. Education for Health Care ProvidersMilkWorks serves as a clinic site for nursing and dietetic students, as well as family practice residents. Other health care providers or students are welcome to visit MilkWorks or call for breastfeeding information. Please call to arrange a time. |
